Flowers
Flowers provide the colour and theme of your event. Therefore they should be carefully selected not only for their beauty but also for their hardiness. Alas, some of the most gorgeous floral arrangements will not stand up to hot or very cold weather, and this needs to be considered particularly if you are celebrating in extreme climates. Making use of the seasonal flowers to decorate the venue and incorporating them in the bridal bouquets or table arrangements provides you with a theme in itself.
Simple flower arrangements can be created and placed on the tables. For something a little more elaborate or elegant, we can place a different type of flower on each table, or provide a high arrangement which not only looks dramatic but doesn’t block the view at table. A floral archway at the entrance to the venue adds a touch of elegance to the celebration.
For brides - your height, weight and the style of your wedding dress should all be considered before making your decision. Modern shipping provides us with an abundance of colours and flower types. But a simpler arrangement creates a very elegant bridal bouquet. Older bridesmaids carry similar bouquets as the bride but smaller in size leaving the younger bridesmaids to carry nosegays or baskets filled with petals and decorated with similar coloured ribbons. The flower girls carry flower baskets filled with petals.
Wedding cakes decorated with matching fresh flowers can also reflect the theme of your wedding. This is a simple yet beautiful way to decorate your wedding cake.
Flowers are a very powerful mood enhancer. Decorations for the church indeed any other venue should be kept simple but effective – the focus should be on your wedding or event and not the décor.
Bridal bouquets come in many varieties; however there are three major types – round, cascade which is sometimes called the teardrop, and a simple bound cluster of flowers.
